I'm feeling especially great this morning after having to get up, and out, for a meeting with Allies teachers concerning Kindergarten next year. Very exciting :) When I got home, I suited up for my walk even though it's rather unpleasant outside. I didn't want to pass it up because I hadn't worked out for 3 days.
This morning I decided to change things up a bit, because I think my body is keen to what I'm trying to do. So instead of walking a full mile, I decided to only go a half mile and jog a quarter of it .... AND I COULD!!!!!!!! :) :) :) I mean yeah, of course it was more than challenging, but it wasn't a factor of if I could do it, and that was the greatest feeling. So that's my change to my routine for right now. I will keep doing the Wii workouts, and switch those up and keep it interesting, hopefully this way my body won't get into a comfortable state of BLAH.
My other big decision this week was deciding to start eating cleaner, fresher, just all around better for you foods. I will be buying fresh poultry, and cooking it in the crock pot to instill natures goodness, and steaming veggies for the same reason. I've found quite a few fresh markets around me, and I'm going to be checking them out this week. I will report back on what I find, I promise :) Charlie and I made fresh bread last night, and honestly it was the best freakin French bread I've ever had. Knowing this is the outcome of hard work, and feeling great about it is so rewarding, so I intend to keep it up :)
Since I hadn't lost anything last week I decided it was time to whip my Thyroid back into shape, so I made an appt. for that and will go in the middle of May. I always have to consider this as a rebound effect because my thyroid is a dastardly devil, and can pack the pounds on like no ones biznass. Soooo, I'm making sure to keep myself healthy on ALL levels. Which reminds me: DO A BREAST SELF EXAM, and make an appt. with your OB to get in and get a yearly physical including a papsmear!!! Your kids will thank you ;)
Without further ado, here are the images for this week. I'm happy to say that I'm wearing the size 18 shirt my mother in law sent me and not only does it fit, but it's slighty BAGGY!!! WOOOT! So no weight loss, but definitely losing inches :)
It is 12:26pm, and I am still waiting for images, but will post them as soon as I get them!!
>>>UPDATE: 4/27/10 - 2:23pm Just added Em, Jen, & Mistie! :)<<<<<<<<

And as of today 4/29 ....
OK, i'm kinda discouraged kinda not.. I decided to to measurements instead of just concentrating on weight. So I'm down an inch in a week in my fattest part my belly! and i'm sadly up a lb Sadly because I was hoping to finally get under 200, but I know that's probably muscle...
ReplyDeleteI've started doing water aerobics 2 times a week and walking with the walk away the pounds DVD and i'll throw in some running on the wii. I'm eating 1200 to 1400 calories a day depending on how ambitious I feel..
Oh I have my annual appt scheduled! And yes i'll make sure to "feel my boobies"! Thanks for the reminder!
Sherry I think that's a righteous idea. I've noticed too that if I concentrate wholly on the scale, all it leads to is disappointment, so I'm going to just weigh myself officially once a week. I was going to do Mondays, but today was a bit crazy around here, so I'll do Tuesday this week, then Monday from here on out. Doing it every day just leads me to panic, and since I'm trying to reconstruct my entire eating platform right now, I don't think it's fair to myself to dwell on it.
ReplyDeleteYou are rocking the workouts girl, and that water aerobics will build MAD muscle, so prepare yourself for that. It sounds like you're in a good place, though, and I'm so proud of you for keeping to it!!
OOH I forgot to mention that this week, i was able to take my 15/16 jeans off with out unbuttoning them!! and it was the first day I wore them not like a day or 2..!!
ReplyDeleteGood job ladies!!! :D
ReplyDeleteThis week, my scale says that I am at 287 which is -2 lbs from last week. Not too bad but my pants are getting horribly loose and I bought a new pair of exercise pants......size XL. Which is a big deal for me, since I usually wear a 3X!!! :) My only theory is that I am burning fat like a mofo and putting on muscle.
Keep it up ladies!!
You ladies are looking AMAZING!!!
ReplyDeleteJen - I went back to your original post and compared this week's photo to that one and you can so tell the difference.
You guys are doing EXCELLENT! I am at 256 which I've been at for a couple of weeks now but I have to be honest that I have lost my motivation most days. Sometimes I feel like I am just trucking along but not really doing anything productive. I have a lot of commitments that I've been busy with the last couple of weeks and I have lost focus. But coming on here and seeing how good you guys are doing and how you guys are pushing through your obstacles has reminded me that I have you guys keeping me accountable for myself and that I am not alone. I look forward to doing what I need to do this week to get closer to my goal. Thank you guys!
ReplyDeleteWell this week was a better week I dropped 2 lbs and I have not done much of a work out due to my husband creating work for us by pressure washing the exterior of the house. Let me just tell ya I am going to have arms of steel like Arnold when we are done painting the house. So cutting back my carbs helped with my weight loss this week, back onto the night time core training when the littles are in bed.
ReplyDeleteYou ladies keep up the excellent work! You all are looking FABULOUS!!!
Thank you Elsa! Comments like yours help keep me really motivated! :D We're all rockin' it! WHOO!
ReplyDeleteSo I am down another 2.5lbs this week. I am slowly and steadily working towards my goal of 243 in July. I have 14 lbs to go in the next 2 months. That is a little ambitious, but I think I can keep it up. I feel really good.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to exercising. I do 5 days of cardio 45 minutes either on the treadmill, or elliptical. And then I try to do Hot Yoga and Muscle pump to help with strength and conditioning. I can really feel a difference in how I respond to the exercising. I used to huff and puff immediately, and now it is taking a while.
I didnt hit my 3 miles in 36 minutes, but I was close I did it in 37:01--Im still going to reach for that goal.
In terms of eating I am trying to remember the rule, if my 4 year old cant pronounce the first four ingredients then Im not eating it. Like tina, I am trying to eat WHOLE foods, that have not been processed. Also, I feel like I should be able to recognize where the items came from :) This week I have been on point with calorie consumption and working out. I actually just got back from muscle pump. Just gonna keep on plugging away. It is hard some days when I am stressed not to down 4 oatmeal cream pies, but since this is a life style change I figure addressing those issues are just as important as getting my fat ass up on the treadmill :)
